Adult Ministry

At First Baptist Church Elm Mott adults of every age and walk of life are welcomed to meet, worship, and serve their Creator and Lord. Adults are encouraged to define their own call to ministry, to be served, and to serve in each way that God calls. When you come to First Baptist Church Elm Mott you will have opportunity to fulfill your call in many ways including:

Worship:

  • Sundays 10:30 am

Discipleship:

  • Sunday School - 9:30 am - We currently offer three adult Sunday School classes:

    • Foundations Class led by Beth Barr - “Studying the Minor Prophets”

    • Friendship Class for senior adults led by June Whaley - Lifeway Sunday School curriculum

  • Community Group (every-other-Monday) - 6:00-7:30 PM - This meets in homes that rotate from week to week. Current study: “A Liturgy of the Ordinary” by Tish Harrison Warren.

  • Wednesday Evenings:

    • 6:00 PM - Current Bible Study - “A History of Belief”

  • TSTC College Bible Study - Tuesdays 6:00 PM - Meets in the community room at Village Oaks Apartments. Dinner included. Current Study: “The Radical Teachings of Jesus”.
